The movie is directed by Shashank Khaitan and stars Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan. The musical fantasy film is inspired from the Indian mythological epic romance novel by R.K. Narayan, Badrinath ki Dulhania: With lyrics composed by Gulzar and music composed by A.R. Rahman, the film follows the love story of Badri (Varun Dhawan) and Kavya (Alia Bhatt). It is the official remake of the Telugu film Arjun Reddy in which Vijay Deverakonda played the lead role. Badrinath Ki Dulhania has been shot at various locations in India, including Agra, Delhi, Jaipur and Manali. The first look of Badrinath Ki Dulhania was released on 3 September 2017. The trailer for this film was released on February 8. The film was released on March 10, 2018. Badri (Varun Dhawan) is a simple easy going guy who lives in Shimla. His family members are doctors, and his parents want him to be one too. He is also continuing his studies further to become a doctor. However, he wants to follow his own dreams of being an actor in Bollywood. He tries to impress the Director of one of the upcoming movies by doing all the stunts himself, but fails to do so after spraining his ankle badly while performing a stunt for the movie which ends up getting him bad press. On the other hand, Kavya (Alia Bhatt) lives in Delhi. She is a really good dancer and is on the verge of getting a hit dance on TV. Despite her mother's attempts to convince her to do something more solid on her life, she concentrates herself on dancing. Badri's parents notice his obsession with Kavya and want him to focus on becoming a doctor instead of pursuing his dream of acting in Bollywood. While going for a job interview in Shimla, Badri meets with an accident while climbing a mountain while going back from his interview which ends up causing him to miss his job interview. While returning home after the interview, his car breaks down. Badri sees a girl hitchhiking with two dogs. He takes the ride with her, but after she drops him off at his destination, Badri is shocked to find out that it is none other than Kavya! Unable to hide his feelings, he falls for her without realizing it himself and later confesses to her and speaks about his passion for acting and dreams of becoming a successful Bollywood actor. Kavya finally falls for him as well and tells him that she wants to be an actress as well which she both dreams of and will do anything necessary to achieve this dream. cfa1e77820
